Safe Safaris in the time of Covid-19

COVID-19 FAQs

At Kimomwe Adventures and Safaris, the safety of our customers is our number one priority. We understand that traveling during this uncertain time comes with additional questions. We’re here to make the process of preparing for your trip as easy as possible!

We are continuing to review and maintain an exceptionally high standard in our approach towards health and cleanliness throughout all the services we provide, always keeping an eye on, and reassessing official health guidance to ensure we are working to the most relevant and high standard practices. We are also in conversations with our safari partners to ensure we are satisfied with the level of controls provided by other third-party camps and providers.

BEFORE ARRIVAL

We encourage all guests to apply and process their visas online before travel. You can process your online visa application HERE. This will limit contact on arrival at the airport.

At least 24-hours before your arrival into Tanzania you will need to complete a health surveillance form online. Once complete you will be supplied with a health number for presentation at the airport. You can find the health surveillance form HERE.

All arrivals into Tanzania will be asked to present a negative PCR test taken within 96 hours of your arrival. Arrivals into Tanzania will also be required to complete a rapid flow test at the airport.

GAME DRIVES

All safari vehicles will be cleaned and sanitized before each activity and kitted out with disinfectants and hand sanitizers. Private game drives can only be guaranteed if a private guide and vehicle has been pre-booked and paid for. Covid-19 protocols are in place on both our shared and private game drives.

ON SAFARI

Activities while on safari with us, such as sundowners, walking safaris and bush meals will be set up privately per vehicle. If guests are in a shared vehicle, activities will also be shared. Our teams will ensure that everything is set up and can be enjoyed alongside standard protocols and guidelines.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU

Despite the changes our world faces, our guests will still experience wildly exceptional safaris. You’ll be met by our staffs who committed to keeping you and themselves safe. This pandemic has changed all of us, and everything. But there is still a wilderness waiting to be explored and we genuinely can’t wait to share it with you. We also promise that we will continue to make sure that your safaris work hard to give back and protect our wilderness, and the people who live alongside it.

By following all the measures given out by the WHO on prevention of global pandemic. We made sure all our staffs are 100% vaccinated against corona virus, thanks to the government for ensuring free vaccination to all the people.

If you need any more detail on specific procedures please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Remember, we’re always here to help. We can’t wait to see you in pursuit of wilderness with us, soon.
